High Profile Speakers Headline Trustmarque Event

Gartner and Intellect confirmed as keynote speakers at VAR event on 14th May 2010
York, UK 21st April 2010: Value added reseller Trustmarque Solutions is delighted to confirm three high profile speakers at its first ever customer event TE2010. Philip Dawson, Research VP at analyst organisation, Gartner, Intellect Director Ian Osborne and IT Security Consultant, writer and broadcaster, Robert Schifreen. Philip and Ian will be analysing the CIO and technology agenda for the year ahead providing the audience with their expert views on the future of the industry as well as best practice advice. Robert will explain why IT Security must now be taken seriously by the Board not just the IT department with some unique insights into the mind of a hacker.
TE2010 is being held on the 14th May at The Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, Leading IT analyst Philip Dawson will open up the proceedings and his presentation will focus on the key IT challenges and the most topical issues faced by organisations over the next 12 months. He will provide his expert opinion on what technologies Gartner is predicting will be most influential in the coming year. He will drill down into what technologies IT managers should be thinking about, planning and budgeting for in the year ahead. Phil will also explain how the credit crunch has affected the industry and where IT departments should be looking to economise if at all.
Ian Osborne is a well known figure in the public and private sector with a wealth of experience in IT innovation and how best to implement IT. Ian’s presentation will focus on the practical application of IT within business and considerations that need to be made prior to implementation. Having worked in the industry for 40 years, Ian has a considerable wealth of expertise in all areas of IT and he extols the value of Virtualisation, Service Orientated Architectures and Green IT. Ian knows how to get the most out of the IT infrastructure and will be passing on priceless advice, as efficiency and value is top of the agenda for both public and private sector organisations.
Ex-Hacker on IT security
Finally there is a unique opportunity to learn more about IT Security and where there risks lie from a consultant who speaks from experience having once been a threat himself. Robert Schifreen became the first person in the world to face a jury trial in connection with unauthorised access to a computer system, a crime for which he was ultimately acquitted. He has since written extensively on spammers, phishing, virus-writers, malware, Trojan Horses and spyware and he joins the Trustmarque Customer Event to teach IT Managers how to protect their IT environment.
